The musings of a landscape painter, art teacher, and art history lover
As the sun sets in the mountains of Northern Arizona, the forest becomes still, as if all the woodland creatures have collectively stopped to watch the magnificent light show. Orange and yellow colors collide with blues and purples to make a luminous tapestry that takes your breath. While this little (9” x 12”) painting cannot hope to do justice to the moment witnessed, it captures the memory of the event and serves as a reminder of the potential of nature to arrest our attention and remind us of what is important in life. It is good to be an Arizona artist, mixing the colors of our wonderful state and finding new vistas to paint. You can find all of Bruce Black's paintings at: www.bruceblackart.com
