Hi, I'm Bruce Black, an artist and art teacher. I have been painting and drawing all my life and spent most of my adult life as an art educator - twenty-six years of teaching art, and I am still at it!
I grew up in Arizona and have a love of the southwestern terrain as well as the coastlines of California. My artwork, whether it is abstract or realistic, has always been informed by this soulful appreciation of nature and landscape painting. The pink colors of Sedona, along with the blue-green sage brush, the bright blue sky, soaring vistas, and intimate valleys, are all represented in my work. I hope you enjoy these paintings, and please contact me with your questions and thoughts. Also, do not miss my free art lessons that I post on my blog. They are perfect for art teachers and students alike.
